Qrie privacy

Qrie for iPhone and Android works on your device, with no account, advertising or app server communication. You control what you share.
Who is responsible

Android — library and widget
Qrie generates QR codes on your device using the ZXing library. Entered content, styling, logos, favorites and dates stay in the app’s private area, also used by its own widget. A QR may contain a Wi-Fi password, contact details, Pix key or other information you chose to include. There is no account, advertising, usage analytics, crash reporting or internet permission.
Android — photos and permissions
The system picker provides only the image selected as a logo. Qrie does not read your entire photo library, address book, location, camera or microphone. You enter contact and address details yourself. The widget can make a code visible to anyone who can see your home screen.
Android — Pix and shared codes
Pix only encodes the information you enter: Qrie does not contact banks, validate keys or transfer money. Anyone who receives or scans a QR can read its content. Printing, copying and PNG, SVG or PDF exports are initiated by you.
Android — backup and deletion
You choose when to export, import or share through Android’s system features, without broad file access. The selected destination receives the chosen content and follows its own policy. Exported backups have no password of their own. Automatic cloud backup and automatic transfer of app data between devices are disabled. Deleting records, clearing app storage in Android settings or uninstalling removes the corresponding local data, but not copies you exported or sent.
iPhone (iOS) — There is no account, and there is no network
There is no sign-up, login, password or profile. The app never asks for your name, email, phone number or any document. Qrie makes no internet connection at all: there is no server, no API and no usage analytics service. Everything happens on the device, including in airplane mode.
iPhone (iOS) — What stays on your device
The content you type to generate a QR code (links, text, Wi-Fi name and password, contact details, Pix key, and whatever else you choose) and the style of each one are kept in the app's library, together with any logo image you picked and a count of exports, used only to decide when to ask for an App Store review. All of it lives in the app's private area, shared only with Qrie's own Home Screen widget, and disappears when you uninstall. There is no copy on any server, because there is no server.
iPhone (iOS) — Photos and logo
If you pick an image from your library as a logo, iOS opens the photo picker and hands Qrie only the image you chose; the app never sees the rest of your photos. If you save a QR code to Photos, Qrie asks for add-only permission, which grants no read access to your library. Both permissions can be revoked in Settings, Privacy & Security, Photos.
iPhone (iOS) — The Pix type
Qrie writes into the QR code the text of the public BR Code standard from the Central Bank of Brazil, built from what you type (key, name, city, amount and ID). The app does not move money, does not query your bank, does not validate the key against any service and is not a financial institution. Whoever pays scans the code with their own banking app, and that transaction happens entirely outside Qrie.
iPhone (iOS) — Sharing, printing and what leaves the device
When you share, save to Photos, copy or print a QR code, you choose the destination, and the content goes there through iOS's own features. Qrie sends nothing on its own. Keep in mind that a QR code can be read by any camera: whatever is inside it (a Wi-Fi password, for instance) is visible to whoever scans it.

After a few exports, the app may ask iOS to show the standard App Store review prompt. The system decides whether and when that prompt appears, and Qrie receives no information about your answer.
iPhone (iOS) — What Qrie does not do
It shows no ads. It uses no analytics tools, third-party SDKs or crash reporting service. It does not track you across apps or websites, so it never asks for tracking permission. It does not access the microphone, camera, contacts, location, calendar, health or files. It shares nothing with third parties, because it collects nothing.

Qrie is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, regardless of age.
iPhone (iOS) — Your rights
Brazil's LGPD (Law 13.709/2018) guarantees confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization, portability and deletion of your personal data, and the withdrawal of consent. Since Qrie neither collects nor transmits anything, there is no database about you: deleting an item from the library or uninstalling the app removes everything it kept.
